I recorded the whole Damage Control album (16 tracks in all) using one set of Rotosound pinks. Not one break on the whole thing!!!

(I still change them regularly on the road though!)

After playing the guitar for 40 years, I decided to try out about 6 type’s of the best strings, I play blues style and I wanted my SRV strat to sing, so I tried one set after another, after about 3 hours they all sounded much the same. So I went to another shop in Perth Kosmic Sounds , and looked at all the brands available. I spotted your strings for the first time ever, so I took them and put on. As I was tuning them up, I realised the difference!!, once I started playing I was totally amazed, I could find everything that I have been searching for ( totally unbelievable). I have just fitted a set of Tru Bass 88 sting to my WaveLite Bass (I play mostly jazz) and what a difference it has made to my sound. I've got a lovely acoustic type sound and yet I can also get a great sound for funk. I did not have to balance the volume of the strings (each string has a individual volume) the volume was equal on each string. Well done I had forgotten about these strings, the last time I used them I think it was in the sixties.

I'm James Cashman from the NY rock band; Altamonte. Up until today I have used many guitar strings, but none ever sufficed me. I ordered a set of Rotosound strings to record Altamonte's upcoming debut record. As soon as I tuned them up I realized that there truly is a difference and that a high grade string truly exists. So lively and clear. I'm not a guitar prodigy and you'll most likely never hear of me through the guitar solo community, but you might as a writer. I may not be a guitar genius when it comes to solos and such, but as a writer I don't want to have to waste time worrying about erosion and breakage. It's nice to know that there is a string company out there that will work extra hard so I done have to.

I hope this letter gets into the right hands as this is my testimonial on the strength and durability of RotoSound strings. As a bass player for 25 years, I've used Rotosound roundwound strings exclusively, with the exception of the rare occasion when someone would give me a random pack of bass strings from a random company. I would always resort back to the tone and sustain of the Rotosound roundwounds & flatwounds. The following is an incident that took place in Montgomery, Ala around 1980 as I was a young 20 year old bass player. My car at the time, a 1970's Toyota, had conked out on me as I was cruising a long winding country road on the outskirts of town. The car would not start at all. I called my friend who quickly drove out to my location and he offered to take me back into town. I replied "Not without my car, dude ! " He said he had no tow strap, rope or anything and that I would just have to leave my car on the outskirts of town until I could get it towed back into town. I refused to leave my car, and started digging through the trunk to see what I may have he could tow me with. As a bass player, very mobile at the time, I had RotoSound strings in the trunk. I told my friend that this would work. Of course he said I was crazy! I proceeded to find as many E strings as I could. On my first attempt I tied two E strings together, and the ends to each car bumper. Our vehicles were close together, but I told him to Go! He floored it and it just untied the knot I had made that I was unsure of to begin with. He again said it wouldn't work. I knew I had to prove him wrong. We got our vehicles in the same position, and I tied the two E strings together in a nice knot which was reinforced by a crude third knot made from a third E string. I told him to slowly start his car forward, and the RotoSound strings actually pulled my vehicle into town, which was at least 10 miles! He wanted to stop once in town, but it was pullling so good I made him pull me all the way to my house in Montgomery, a few extra miles! :o)
So Kudo's for a great product, and a very late Thank You for pulling me out of a jam in 1980 with the strength of the Mighty RotoSounds!

I am writing in regards to the set of Rotosound Bass strings I purchased recently.
I live in Melbourne, Australia and have been playing guitar for 18 years but took the bass up about 5 years ago. In the time I have been playing Bass, I have been using strings such as D'Addario and in the last 18 months, Fender. I have enjoyed using the Fender strings and have been paying around $64.00 (Aus $) per packet. A small price to pay for quality and clarity I get from them. Last week I brought a set of Rotosound and in just one week has completely changed the way I look at playing the Bass. Firstly, the sound the Rotosound strings gives is amazing, notes that I play are sustained and as my Bass is a J&D (approx $450 Aus) you could say it's not the most brilliant Bass to play but I can't afford a nice Bass. Where I couldn't get a full note for F (on the E string) it is now clear and sustains as long as I want it to.
Secondly, the feel of Rotosound strings is awesome, I don't have to work as hard and on stage I'm sure you would agree this is a critical factor in enjoying what you do. Sorry to chew your ear off but I had to let you know how excited I am with your strings and will reccommend them to all my Muso friends. Keep up the good work and I will be putting Rotosound strings on all 5 of my guitars. You have my loyalty from this day on and please keep me informed via Email of any other products you offer.

I have been using Rotosound Country Gold piano design strings for years and have yet to come across a better string. I recently rebuilt a 12 string and thought it would be great to try out a set of golds
especially as the core sits on the bridge and would make the intonation a lot more accurate. Any plans to intruduce the Golds in a 12 string format?

I'm also one of Jamaica's top session musician, playing from Mento, Ska, Reggae, Gospel,
Dance hall Rock, Funk, Afro rhythm's, Jazz and any of the Caribbean beats. I've recorded for Marcia Griffiths, Tanya Stephens, Judy Mowatt, Pushim from Japan, Culture,
Bob Andy, Buju Banton, Maxi Priest, Luciano, Turbulance and Sasha, Sizzla, A.J.Brown Abijah, Tarus Riley, Ernie Ranglin, to name a few. The last project I did for Telarc records

With all that said, this mail is about your fantastic Bass Strings that I've been using consistently for about twenty seven years. I started out using medium gauge stainless steel roundwound, with my Fender Jazz. Before that I've used Fender, D'Aderio, Smiths, La Bella and Ernie Ball. D'Aderio was close to what I was hearing in my head, but it puts too much tension on the neck. When I put on my first set of ROTOSOUND, Wow!!!!! this is it I said. It sounds great, feels great and lasts long too! What more could I ask for,
After about eight years of playing medium gauge, I started touring and met a Brother who used to be the tec. for Earth Wind and Fire named Aundrae. He would be the guitar tec.
for Jimmy Cliffs band when E.W.F. was not on the road. I told him I only use Rotosound strings. He smiled and said, " I noticed, I've been ordering direct from England, I'll get you a couple of gauges thats not easy to find in the states", Jason! He made my day. By this time, I started playing a Guild Pilot Five String with a hip shot on the B string, to keep up with the synth basses. Jamaican music had also evolved to synth bass in the dance hall music. Can you imagine how I felt when Aundrae installed the first set of HEAVY Gauge on my bass and I played it at sound check? It was perfect for the reggae sound with great punch and excellent clarity that has been my trade sound to date.
When we spoke last, you had promised to send me some strings to try out. You told me about your Double Bass strings too. I now play one of Ira Colmans new design Double Bass
so I'm interested in those strings. Apart from re-introducing my self, and now computer literate, communication is easier and more affordable, It's also to say to you i've played
my last set of heavy strings for about nine months , and need to have some ASAP. I' m doing more studio and production work now, having my own label, (ISLAND TREASURE)
which keeps me busy. I go on the road now to do Festivals or short gigs like the one I did in June with Monty Alexander in Japan at the new Cotton Club for one week, to promote
the Concrete Jungle c.d. I'll be playing at the Ronnie Scott Jazz Club in London with Monty Alexander from the 7th - 9th September, it would be great to link up with you while I'm there. I have just shifted to the Top Tapes (RS200 Monel steel) with my 1922 Gibson acoustic L-3 archtop - this is the closest match to the original Gibson strings ('20s Monel) that I have found and the sound is crisp and warm for both recording and performing - thanks for producing such an amazing "traditional" string.

I stumbled on Rotosound Guitar strings by accident. I was using another brand and one particular time my local shop didn’t have the gauge I use. I tried the Rotos and they were much better, lasted longer, don’t break and sound better. I gig lots, teach guitar for a living so good strings are important to me. In 26 years of playing electric guitar, Rotos are the best I’ve used.

After spending years snapping Ernie Balls and D'Addarios I finally tried Rotosounds. Rotosound Blues allow me to shred my heart out and the heavy bottoms add extra beef to rhythm playing. and I've never snapped a string, so I'm getting a nice stockpile of extra e strings. Nice one Rotosound, makes me proud to be British.

Like a lot of people, I always loved Ernie Ball's Slinky strings, but found them fragile (and I do tend to get carried away on stage). Changed to Rotosound Pinks in the early 90s, and have never ever been persuaded away from them. Rotos can take the Pepsi challenge with any string costing five times the price, nothing competes with them at any level in my opinion.

I have been using Rotosound since they were very unfashionable in the late 80s, and compared to so many other strings, they are superb. They may not be the most expensive but they feel great, sound great, last for ages and are damned bloody hard to break. In the last 10 years, I have only broken one string.

Rotosound are my favourite as they can turn an ordinary guitar into something more playable. They can deliver tone where the pickups lack quality. I really can't fault them.

I have tried a lot of major makes of string and found the Rotosound Yellows to be the best by far. They last well, don't break and our lead guitarist uses them as well. Say no more!

Rotosound –That legendary tone and reliability! Superb strings. I use these for mainly rhythm playing on a piezo-equipped Tele for that fat bottom end and Rotosound Yellows on a Thinline. They have a great piano-like twang on the wound strings and a solid ping on the top strings. Excellent value for money and deserving of their quality reputation

Quite simply the best guitar string around. Punchy, warm, bell like tone - they never break and always sound great with a clean sound or over driven sound. Note definition is superb. I have used them for years – Rotosound are the best.

These are my favourite strings. Great tone and feel they don’t rust (unlike Ernie Balls, which I found the top strings did pretty quick). You get an extra 1st string which is great but you won't use it because you won't break it, unless you try of course.
